Elbët Kibreet — Arabic for "matchbox" — is a Toronto-based Arabic fusion ensemble led by vocalist and creative director Rula Kudiir. Each member carries an individual artistic spark. Together, they ignite something larger.

Their sound weaves traditional and contemporary voices from the Levant, North Africa, and the Americas — honouring the icons of Arabic music while breathing new life into familiar melodies through modern arrangements and cross-cultural rhythms.

Born from the Toronto arts scene and launched through the Kunn Collective's DAMMA series, the band has performed at intimate venues across the city — from Mekan Toronto to DROM Taberna — drawing audiences into a world where Cairo meets Caracas, and Beirut dances with Toronto.
